The Romanian Association for American Studies has awarded the following RAAS members for their dissertations defended in 2011 or 2012 and submitted for the Graduate Student Award:
Sorina Chiper, Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iași, for the best PhD dissertation;Cristina-Maria Nițu, University of Bucharest, for the best MA dissertation.
The announcement was made during the general RAAS meeting held as part of the 2012 RAAS-Fulbright Conference.
