The Romanian Association for American Studies has awarded the following RAAS members for their dissertations defended between 2008 and 2010 and submitted for the Graduate Student Award:
Dana Mihailescu, University of Bucharest, for the best PhD dissertation;
Adelina Vartolomei, Ovidius University Constanta for the best MA dissertation.
The awarding ceremony took place on October 7th, on the occasion of the 2010 RAAS-Fulbright Conference opening, when H.E. Mark H. Gitenstein, U.S. Ambassador to Bucharest, presented the GSA certificates to the two awardees.
